It’s summer time in California and surf enthusiasts couldn't be happier.

Along with the nice weather, and concerts that will rock the coastline from San Fransisco to San Diego, it is surf season.

While the waves are sub par on global standards the weather is good enough for the entire surf industry to descend on the golden state.

While contests run all year most high profile events are in the convenient summer break.

Events like the Cold water classic at Santa Cruz's steamer lane, the US open in surf city Huntington beach will draw huge crowds who will be showered with giveaways and chances to meet the worlds best.

As the summer draws to an end the entire surfing world will be focused on lower trestles. Located in beautiful San Onofre state beach just south of San Clemente. the worlds most high performance wave and the 7th stop on the prestigious ASP World Tour.

With only 11 stops total the Boost Mobile Pro is the only event of its caliber on the continental US. The worlds best will attend and with hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line and valuable points towards the world title, you can bet they will put on one hell of a show.

Of course this event will have the giveaways and autograph signings but the surfing will take center stage. Of coarse surfing wont be the only thing, food nightlife is just as spectacular the world over.

From the laid back bars of the gas-lamp district in San Diego, to the trendy clubs of LA to the very open minded clubs and bars of San Francisco California has it all. So if nice weather, big events, great food, and even greater nightlife is what you need this summer my only question is, when can you start.
